Welcome to Voyager Live Cams. I'm Jeremy and I have a not-so-secret love for web live cams. I like to see what's going on out there in this big world of ours and I hope you enjoy too
You can send me a message or subscribe to my web/tech newsletter
Please note the cam feeds come from external sources including big tech video platforms and I have no control over what they do
I've looked for some train live cams that are busy since it's good to see trains but it's not so good to see empty tracks. Please let me know what you think of this selection of live cams and whether they're busy enough to be interesting.
The Zurich train station live cam is a good one to watch because it's very busy. It's nearly impossible to not see a train when you tune in to this one.
The main train station in Prague is fairly busy as you can see on this train live cam. In addition to the trains coming in and out there are small blue switchers that become active when cars or locomotives need to be moved around the station. I used to watch this when I worked the late night graveyard shift in South America and the sun would be rising in Europe.
The Amtrak System Map train location tracker isn't a live cam or live stream per se but it shows where each train on the Amtrak system is at any given time. Amtrak runs long distance trains usually once per day. There are also state-owned train lines, such as the San Joaquins and the Pacific Surfliner in California, that run many trains per day to provide general transit between strings of closeby cities.
If you like maps of train lines, rail lines, and transit lines there's a guy named Cam who makes them for fun, shares them on his website, and has online tutorials for making transit maps yourself. His website is at transitmap.net. Enjoy.
